New Branch Opens in Taiwan

As part of the company’s rapid growth strategy, Worldwide Logistics Group introduces Worldwide Logistics – Taipei, the group’s first branch in Taiwan.

The new office is strategically located within a country known as a global hub for chip production and other technology products. It’s also within quick access to neighboring Asian countries, where the logistic company already has established branches or is looking to expand within the coming months.

“The announcement of Taiwan is the first of several Asian operations that will be open in the next 90 days,” said Willy Fong, Worldwide Logistics Group’s Managing Director of Asia.

The general manager for the new office will be Seal Chien, who has a deep knowledge of the logistics industry having worked in both freight forwarding and ocean carrier operations for 15 years.

“Working for a fast growing and aggressive logistics company enables me to seriously learn and grow,” said Mr. Chien. “With my experience in freight forwarding and ocean carrier operations, I can share ideas with the Worldwide Logistics team, and hopefully make an impact for the company as well as maintain their high level of customer service excellence.”

Mr. Chien’s career spans the globe including employment in Taiwan, Canada and the United States.

Worldwide Logistics currently has 40 offices worldwide. “Opening in Taiwan is another step toward our overall goal to globalize our network in the next two to three years,” said Joe Monaghan, Worldwide Logistics Group CEO and president.

“We’ve always had a strong worldwide network, but it’s our client-driven intention to increase our global footprint of company-owned operations,” explained Mr. Monaghan. “As our presence rapidly grows, we gain more industry muscle and that ultimate translates to controlled, value-added service levels for our customers.”

Taiwan has emerged as an export epicenter for high precision manufacturing goods as well as a global hub for chip production and other highly sought-after technology. It successfully transformed from an agricultural society to a global technology powerhouse and an irreplaceable player in the supply chain industry.
