Worldwide Logistics Group Hires New Vice President of Sales and Operations in India

Worldwide Logistics Group is proud to announce Nitin Grover as Vice President of Sales and Operations for WWL India, the company’s India branch.

Mr. Grover will be stationed in the New Delhi office overseeing business development with a focus on ocean freight. He brings a wealth of expertise to the company with more than 18 years of experience in senior level positions within the logistics industry. Before joining WWL India, Mr. Grover worked for MSC in India, assisting the company’s growth from the number two spot to number one ocean carrier in the region.

“Nitin’s ocean carrier background will propel growth in our region,” said Manish Verma, Managing Director for India and the Middle East. “His relationship with the ocean carriers, when space is so dear, is critical.”

According to Mr. Verma, Worldwide Logistics Group’s business in India has experienced dramatic growth since its founding in 2016 which is what prompted the need to boost leadership. “We needed to strengthen our management team to continue providing pristine client services. Nitin has solid expertise with managing sales and operations to consistently maintain a high level of customer satisfaction,” Mr. Verma explained.

Mr. Grover also has experience with Africa exports, specifically rice exports. Through this work he has grown a network of support within areas of Africa including Togo, Ghana, Senegal, and the Ivory Coast. This experience will come to play when coordinating efforts with Worldwide Logistics Group’s new branches in Ghana and Kenya.

“He clearly has what it takes to grow our business within the region and beyond, but more importantly, Nitin has a sterling reputation with the ocean freight carriers. His experiences are vast and just what we need to support and grow our customer base in India,” Mr. Verma said.

India’s growth during the last two years includes opening a new branch office and hiring an air freight manager at Indira Gandhi International Airport to help expedite air cargo transport as well as applying for accreditation with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in this region. By being a cargo agent for IATA, WWL India will have access to a network of airline services and be recognized for financial and professional competence.

Joe Monaghan, President and CEO of Worldwide Logistics Group, said the company is considering continued growth of their office footprint within India. “We react according to our customer’s needs. We’re driven by our customers in everything we do.”
