Worldwide Logistics Group, an integrated logistics provider, announces the promotion of Daniel Jakob to the position of Senior Vice President Europe. In his new role, Jakob will be overseeing operations in key European markets, including Germany, Netherlands, Spain and Poland, and will play a crucial role in the company’s further expansion strategy.
Jakob brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having dedicated over two decades to the logistics sector.
His journey with Worldwide Logistics Group spans seven years where he has served as the managing director for Germany and has been the driving force behind the organization’s growth here. His tenure as managing director was marked by significant achievements, including opening the first German branch in Stuttgart followed by a second office in Düsseldorf. He also played an important role in the expansion into the Netherlands last year. This extensive experience within the company positions him well for his new role.
“Daniel’s strategic insights and hands-on approach have been crucial in establishing the Germany office as a key logistics player in the region,” said Tom Peacock, President of Worldwide Logistics Group.
His logistics career began at BAX Global, where he spearheaded the development of the Europe-Asia market. This early experience laid the foundation for Jakob’s deep understanding of international logistics and market dynamics.
Following his successful stint at BAX Global, Jakob joined PanTerra, where he played a key role in helping PanTerra grow into a multi-million dollar company.
Jakob said he plans to strengthen the Worldwide Logistics Group brand throughout Europe by using the company’s playbook of building local niche sales teams in each country that are backed by a larger company with global reach and resources.
“With a broader lens, I’ll be able to ensure that the European branches of Worldwide Logistics Group are poised to follow the company’s global mission to create solutions for our clients at competitive cost and opportunities for our employees to learn and grow within the logistics sector,” explained Jakob.
“I’m excited to start this next chapter with Worldwide Logistics Group and to continue building an energetic and dynamic team who are willing to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to provide the stellar service our customers deserve,” continued Jackob.
“The promotion of Jakob to Senior Vice President of Europe recognizes his exceptional leadership, dedication and strategic vision within Worldwide Logistics Group,” said Joe Monaghan, Chairman and CEO of the company. “As he takes on this new role, Daniel will leverage his extensive experience to oversee and drive the company’s operations in key European markets, ensuring continued growth and success,” he added.
Under his leadership, Worldwide Logistics Group is poised to navigate the complexities of the logistics industry in Europe and embrace new opportunities for expansion. Jakob’s track record of success and innovation positions him as a key figure in shaping the future of the company.
“Every day is a new challenge in the logistics industry, and we have a global team of innovative thinkers who can move this company forward in Europe,” said Jakob.
