Expansion Continues – New Branch Opens in Cambodia

Worldwide Logistics Group continues to expand its footprint in Asia and announces the opening of Worldwide Logistics Group – Cambodia.

The Cambodia branch opening coincides with the fifth anniversary of its sister branch, Worldwide Logistics Group – Vietnam.

The Cambodia office is in the heart of Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital and hub for supply chain logistics companies and ocean carriers.

In this region, Cambodia, as well as Vietnam, have emerged as competitive players in the export market for furniture, footwear, and apparel as an increasing number of suppliers move southward, away from the traditional China market.

“We are excited to open a strategic branch in this part of Asia as a response to our clients’ needs,” said Devid Narim, Customer Service Supervisor in Cambodia. “We’re client-driven at our core. We react when our clients need us to.”

For an added level of service to clients, Mr. Narim will report to Jamie Thanh, General Manager for Worldwide Logistics Group’s Vietnam branch. “We take pride in our transparent and accessible approach to customer service. Clients can reach every level of leadership at Worldwide Logistics in Asia and globally,” explained Mr. Thanh. “Accessibility and transparency are what sets us apart from our competition.”

Mr. Thanh, a logistics veteran, has a deep knowledge of the logistics industry having worked in the industry for 14 years. “Besides better servicing our clients in this rising global market, the new office will definitely boost our service level in air freight and trucking support between Cambodia and Vietnam,” explained Mr. Thanh.

“The announcement of Cambodia is the second in a series of several Asian operations that will be open in the next three months,” said Willy Fong, Worldwide Logistics Group’s Managing Director of Asia.

Worldwide Logistics Group announced a new branch opening in the Philippines last month.

Worldwide Logistics currently has 40 offices worldwide.

“Opening in Cambodia is another step toward our overall goal to globalize our network in the next two to three years,” said Joe Monaghan, Worldwide Logistics Group CEO and president.

“We’ve always had a strong worldwide network, but it’s our client-driven intention to increase our global footprint of company-owned operations,” explained Mr. Monaghan. “As our presence rapidly grows, we gain more industry muscle and that ultimately translates to controlled, value-added service levels for our customers.”
