Worldwide Logistics Group announces the opening of a new 300,000 square foot warehouse in Westampton, New Jersey. This is their largest US warehouse and the second warehouse opening in the last two weeks. The company recently announced the opening of a warehouse facility in Savannah, Georgia.
The new warehouse is strategically located just off Interstate 295, within 35 miles from Philadelphia International Airport and less than 90 minutes from New Jersey and New York ports.
“We need to keep up with demand,” said Wayne Wolfson, Director of Operations at the Westampton facility. “Recent industry analysis shows vacancy in warehouses at less than 1 percent. With 300,000 square feet, we are ready for both current customers and potential new business,” explained Mr. Wolfson.
The New Jersey – New York warehouse will offer the same full-service warehouse solutions as all their US facilities including pick and pack, reworking, E-commerce fulfillment, short term storage, transloading and reverse logistics.
Expansive 32-foot ceilings offer safe racking and proper temperature regulation. The vertical expansion allows for tall clear heights to store more palletized product. This translates to lower occupancy costs per square foot.
With 32 access doors, the new warehouse is designed to augment swift throughput for container vehicles which will reduce time and costs.
The New Jersey warehouse will use a state-of-the-art inventory management system which includes all the features needed for speed, quality control and reporting. “Keeping up with today’s inventory management technology is beneficial to both small E-commerce business and larger international brands,” explained Mr. Wolfson.
Worldwide Logistics Group operates six warehouses in the United States, two in the United Kindgom and one in New Delhi, India. The warehouses in the US are located in Southern California and Savannah, Georgia.
“Our focus is always on supporting our customers. The new and larger New Jersey facility located in the highly accessible I-95/I-295 corridor will optimize logistics support to our customers,” said Joe Monaghan, President and CEO of Worldwide Logistics Group.
