The rapid expansion of Worldwide Logistics Group’s global footprint continues with the opening of WWL Group Transitarios SL in Spain. WWL Spain will be headquartered in Madrid. Joe Monaghan, CEO of Worldwide Logistics Group said, “our expansion in Spain follows the same formula as our other recent office openings: volumes reaching critical mass and a leader identified who fits our corporate culture.”
WWL Spain will be managed by Manuel Gallego. Mr. Gallego, a licensed customs broker, is a veteran of over 30 years in logistics having held top management positions for Fritz Companies, UPS Supply Chain Solutions and FedEx Trade Network. Mr. Gallego has extensive international sales expertise and is well versed in supply chain regulatory issues, freight quality certifications, airport security programs and security clearance applications for defense programs.
“As we grow our business our clients will remain at the center of everything we do. Our operational processes, financial capabilities and business strategies will always remain aligned with our clients’ requirements and needs,” explained Mr. Gallego.
This announcement comes at the heels of other global expansion for WWL. In the past few months, Worldwide Logistics Group has opened branch offices in Turkey and Mexico. WWL growth is always client driven. As the company monitors the needs of their clients, they continuously assess potential for network expansion. Worldwide Logistics Group Executive Vice President Tom Peacock explained, “we will continue to pursue opportunities for network expansion, always being guided by where we see volume growth and client demand.”
“We have a number of other expansion opportunities in the pipeline and will likely have more announcements on this soon,” confirmed Mr. Monaghan.
