Worldwide Logistics Group (WWL) continues its commitment to client driven growth and announces the opening of a new branch office in Mexico City, Mexico.
This expansion represents the second new branch for WWL this month and is part of an aggressive global expansion strategy. Last week the company announced the opening of an office in Istanbul, Turkey.
The subsidiary in Mexico will be listed as Worldwide Logistics Forwarding Services, S.A. de C.V. and it will be managed by Claudia Castanos, a logistics expert with 10 years of experience in the industry. Ms. Castanos most recently worked with the Italian forwarder Cargoways. She has been working with Worldwide Logistics group as an independent agent for five plus years, building relationships with the WWL team and customers.
“Claudia has been handling our business in Mexico for over five years as an agent so we are well familiar with the level of knowledge and professionalism she brings. We are delighted to have her join our family.” said Joe Monaghan, WWL CEO.
Mr. Monaghan went on to say, “Mexico is of growing importance to us both in terms of cross border trade with the USA as well as trade with Europe, Asia and the rest of Latin America.” “Worldwide Logistics handles shipments for clients who have logistics needs all over the globe. By having a full service branch in Mexico City we can offer an even higher level of service and uniform handling,” Mr. Monaghan explained.
Worldwide Logistics Group Executive Vice President Tom Peacock further explained, “we continue to employ a client driven approach to building our network. A large number of our clients have seen business growth with Mexico and called upon us to offer an on the ground solution. We answered that call.”
