Job Description

This position will be responsible for managing the daily operating tasks of new and existing business. You will oversee daily shipments and assist in the growth and development of the business

Responsibilities

  • Quoting several modes of transportation based on the customers’ needs
  • Coordinating shipments with customers and booking with carriers
  • Negotiating rates with carriers
  • Tracking shipments and updating customers
  • Learning and understanding trucking markets
  • Developing new carrier relationships
  • Maintain strong communication with customers and building customer relationships
  • Complete accurate profit and loss analysis for each shipment.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of experience
  • Strong communication and negotiating skills
  • Ability to work on a team and assist team members when needed
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Motivated to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize daily tasks, and manage time effectively
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
